About Polina

As a kid growing up in Illinois, one of my many dream careers was to be an artist! My home’s dining room became my art studio, walls covered in coloring pages and drawings. Along with that, I was a natural entrepreneur: selling artwork on my front lawn and starting fundraisers at school.

Looking back, it’s no surprise I'm pursuing a career path that blends business and creativity. Kreu has become the overflow of what I’ve loved to do for years - and it's even better because now I get to do it with others!​

​Kreu comes from my last name, Kreuz. It nods to my European heritage, honors my family, and sounds like “crew”, which hints at my hope that this studio will bring people together. Kreuz also means “cross” in German, reflecting my faith in Jesus - I’m so grateful God designed me with eyes to see beauty and a desire to create!
